How are Double Chin Injections administered and is there any downtime?

Before the procedure, your treating nurse will  mark the injection sites with a grid and may administer a topical numbing agent or ice pack to ease any pain or discomfort.   Usually 20 to 30, and up to 50, injections are used under the chin. The acid then works gradually to kill fat cells, which are metabolized by the body over the following weeks. 
The number of treatment sessions necessary varies for each person. Multiple treatments might be needed to reach optimal results.   As with other injectable treatments, you may experience side effect from Double Chin Injections. The most common side effects are swelling, bruising, pain and numbness.    For most patients, downtime is minimal and occurred most commonly after the first treatment session. When scheduling your treatments, keep your social plans and work commitments in mind.

How many treatments will I need?

Many patients treated with Belkyra experience visible improvement of their chin profile in 2-4 treatments. Some people require up to 6 treatments in order to achieve results. Once your goals have been met, re-treatment is not expected.
